Activities
Finca del Arroyo de las Adelfas has plenty of activities to keep you occupied during your stay.
Activities on the Estate
In summer most people probably want to spend time by the pool. Since the pool cottage has a shady awning, a fridge and bathroom, it’s tempting to spend the whole day there. The main house is surrounded by shaded terraces with outdoor furniture including a table which seats 12. There’s a built barbecue a few steps from the kitchen door, alongside the main pergola, where you’ll also find exterior electricity sockets to bring out lamps.
The ping-pong table, kept in the mill, comes outside in summer to the shady kitchen terrace.
In winter you can grill in the kitchen and the house is made cosy by the wood-burning stoves in the patio, the mill and the sitting-room. Extra wood, which is kept in the woodshed outside the mill door, can be delivered for a small charge.
The cooler weather is a good time to hike around the estate: there are plenty of paths, some steep hills, and the arroyo (stream) sometimes flows till May. Please note the pool is closed from mid October to mid -March.
A local event organiser is available for large scale catering. The manageress of the Malaga Hammam (Arab baths) is also a neighbour and will be happy to organise massages for guests at Las Adelfas. Let us know in advance if this may be of interest.
Málaga city
Most visitors to the Costa de Sol head for the beaches and golf courses which stretch from Torremolinos to Marbella and Estepona. All these places are easy to get to by the excellent coast highway which is just 3.5 km. from the estate entrance. But if you´re staying at Las Adelfas you´ll be looking for something different and you´ll have the chance to see another side of Spain…. Click here for more information.
